New Years Eve Plushy

Poor lion kitty Maxx. They shaved off a good bit of his lovely ruff and managed to clip of some of his whiskers at the same time. Oh, the indignity!!

He's happy to be home though. Last night he didn't just sleep with me, he slept on me. Such a funny little guy.

  1. Thanks!!

I'm sure they were just trying to figure out what was going on, but lopping the whiskers was cruel.

  6. There's a certain symmetry to this, thinking back to the early days. I'm glad you two are back together, and there are few things nicer than a kitty sleeping on you.

  7. Eli, yes. Though it's not usual. Normally he sits on me for a while, then goes to his normal spot at the foot of the bed.

I'm guessing he's feeling a bit insecure these days.

    LOL
    Good Lord!
    He was on a bender!
    Catnip, booze and MORE catnip.
The vet story was just a cover.

God it's good to have him home, safe and loved.

Yer one of my heros 4LG! Keep up the good work.

  9. Quoth 4LG, in response to Maxx-on-centaur sleepment:

I'm guessing he's feeling a bit insecure these days.

    To which saith I:

You would too if you'd gone on a nice little walkie only to be scooped up and sent to The Smelly Place Where They Stick Sharp Things In You! He must've thought he'd never see you again! He's still the prettiest boy. Whiskers will grow back. So will his handsome ruff. Sleep tight, little Lion Kitty.

So glad "our" boy is home safe and sound and finding a place of refuge on top of the centaur!

once when my daughter was young she out of the blue asked me "do cat's whiskers grow back?" i thought, what an odd question.

then i saw rosey's whiskers which were all trimmed within a quarter inch of her face. they grew back.

    i'm glad maxx is home.

  14. I believe in most cases, especially where children are involved, the only appropriate response to "Do cats' whiskers grow back?" is "What have you done???"

Yeah, they stuck sharp things in both legs, shaved him, and poked at his sore mouf.

He didn't enjoy it at all.

  17. Well, he's home and safe in the loving arms of his centaur, the delightsome little striper. How peacefully he seems to sleep! Nothing on his conscience other than all the hearts that nearly stopped beating when he was first reported missing. Many good wishes to Mr. Plushy and his Loving Centaur. May the New Year bring a miracle for Maxx, the Miraculous!

  19. (Idiots set off firecrackers and weaponry here, and Arthur felt it was necessary to tell me all about it.)

Well, they might of set the house on fire and Arthur didn't want you to sleep through that.

He was just being a careful doggie.
