Reuters/NASA/Ames Research CenterThe Stardust Capsule Return is shown as it re-enters the Earth's atmosphere, as seen from NASA's DC-8 Airborne Laboratory January 15, 2006. The aircraft was located near the end of the trajectory, just outside of the proposed landing site. NASA's Stardust sample return capsule successfully landing at the U.S. Air Force Utah Test and Training Range early on Sunday. The capsule contained cometary and interstellar samples gathered by the Stardust spacecraft.
