Aurora Borealis

I must admit that my fascination with the auroras dates back to early childhood viewing of Rudolph the Rednose Reindeer.

Ahem. Never the less, it's one phenomenon I'd like to see, and photograph, with my own eyes.

I've seen it, while making snowangels in the snow at night with my girlfriend as little children. It was miraculous, because the fox fires (as it's called in Finland) are rarely so clear in the south where we were.

I'm sure Barry in AK would be more than happy for you to pay a visit so you could see them....

Camping in Canada years ago, I saw my very first show of lights that went on for hours. First curtains then streamers then waves, all shifting rapidly from one style to the next. All in pistachio green. We could hardly sleep for the beauty of it.
