Elspeth ----she is toooo tooooo cute. I love that belly, it just screams RUB ME! RUB ME! buddha belly it is!

yeah, she's a buddha gal, that's for sure...topping out at 19lbs!!! Her silly sistah Amelie (of black/white kitteh noir fame) is totally fine w/belleh rubs, but Gris-gers does NOT like it...I think she likes to just taunt me w/"I has rubbabull belleh, but you cant touch meh!"
Gris Gris is cool otherwise, she even plays hide & seek w/me. :)

the funny thing is (besides the pose) is Gris Gris is a smoky grey and in this pic her fur looks black. I love the luster, though. :)
Since I am in the 'final throes' of packing up to move out from my ex's apartment, there are boxes everywhere...Gris Gris's fave toy. And she will park in one of the lids and lay there serenely until I walk by and she will sneak a swat at me! LOL! She just looks at me like "yeah? whatareYOUgonnadoaboutit?" She is declawed (not by me), so it doesn't hurt. :)
peace out!

Gris-Gris has an impressive sense of humor.

She knows how cute/funny she looks in that pose.

Boy do I ever want to scritch that belly! But Gris-Gris is just like my favorite black cat Chumley (who does NOT have a beautiful white skeletal lining like Gris-Gris) who, although he tempts me with many belly up poses, just wants to play "bite the hand that scritches me" and I have the scars to prove it!

Gris-Gris is adorable! You're so lucky!

Thank you I think so, too! She appeared in my life after being cat-friendless for two weeks. My elderly Toppy had passed and I thought I could manage w/o a feline companion. It was just too weird (I had had Topps for 10 of her 18 years). When I saw the pic of a then 4 month old grey cat w/white details (including chin!), and her old name...(gads, what a grandma name for a young cat), I knew she would be mine on the other side of an e-mail. This year will be 5 years since she brightened up my life. :) And when I back out her b'day, she is so close to mine, I just deemed it so! :) I am going to have to photoshop that pic into some crazy locations! :)
peace out,
elspeth
