Such schweet girly girls! My established kitty Miss Karmina (who could be Miss Ripley's doppleganger), is settling in with Maxxine's presence in fits and starts. (Maxxine's just a puff ball of sugar too!) It's like that Kubler-Ross-grief thing...fear, denial, anger, fear, anger, denial, fear, fear, anger, anger, anger, bargaining, denial...and now, almost acceptance. At lunch today she tried to get Maxxine to chase her, but Maxxine, somewhat wary after being growled and snapped at the past couple of days, just watched in amusement. I'm rather amazed they've come this far in such a short amount of time...Miss Karmina is nearly 6, and somewhat set in her ways. But she's a good girl, and that's what I keep telling her!
War On War Off said... My established kitty Miss Karmina …. I'd luv to see a pic of Miss Karmina, with or without little Maxxine. Equal pic rights for All Kitties!
Of course equal time for sweetheart Maddie, plus extra time for Da Tail. [Or is that name exclusive to NTodd's Lola?] "A walking, furry sugar cube" attached to a huge hairy Swiffer Plume!
Yes, I think so, fourlegs! I was so happy to see her do that "inviting" move, when she crouched down next to Miss Maxxine, spun around and took off like a rocket. Actually she did it twice during lunch. And no more bellyaching either!
Polly, I'll try to post a good Karmina pic at Photobucket soon. She's short-haired and doesn't have pink toesies (oh, nosies! oh, though she does have a pink nosy!) but aside from that, I think they could be almost twins.
I never cease to marvel at her tail. My nephew and his wife have just gotten a Maine Coon cat and love him (I have only seen one photo). Sure his tail isn't nearly as elegant as Miss Maddie's.

Her tail has actually gotten bigger.

That's a vision to give one pause.

Dear Madeleine, I have been admiring you from afar (in CA, not Tal Afar, Iraq.)
You are the most elegant kitteh on the Intertubes. Your graceful leaps in pursuit of feather monsters and Alien Carrots take my breath away.
Your luxuriant fur and dainty white paws are almost beyond praise, your magnificent tail leaves me speechless.
At least temporarily.
With profound respect,
Silver, cat of many talents.
