Sunday update

Lion kitty Maxx looks all relaxed and happy in this photo from this summer. He's actually not that happy this evening, since he had to go to the vet this afternoon to get his pain patch replaced. And horrors!! they shaved another spot on the other side of his shoulder. He's turning into patchwork kitty.

Oh well, he'll be niced and stoned in about 12 hours. In the meantime he's got some nice bupronex to keep him company.

Tell him to enjoy the soft breast of mother opium...so soft, so loving, so...never mind, I've said to much.
Love to Maxx and 4LG.

Poor Maxxie! No wonder he doesn't want his new patchy photos taken. That's OK, darlin', you'll always be The Best Boy. Sleep, enjoy the bliss. And 4LG, please take care of yourself!

Four Legs

When is the deadline for voting on the "Fairest Black and White Kitty" contest?

I had decided at first, then Bandicoot was entered so I have to reconsider.

polly, I don't know that I can actually decide on a winner.

I love them all.

Our tribe sends their love Maxx's way. And praise be for modern drugs that comfort The plush One.

poopyman said about Tux:

I suspect that we've spoiled him.

To which I reply:

Are you sure? I suspect someone breaks into our house when we're out and spoils our cats rotten - we're just not the type to do that, y'know.

I'm doing my best to spoil Maxx.

It's just not easy these days.

Maxxie - you're gorgeous no matter how much they shave off you - your soul shines out of your eyes and it sparkles and glows.

One of my favorite cat stories --

My dad made rc airplanes and would sit at his desk for hours with the pieces, working over them painstakingly.

His best friend Soxers, a tuxedo kittie, sat on the desk many hours as well, watching.

Until, one day, Soxers began pushing pieces of the model out of the "pile" toward my dad to "help." It was the most amazing thing.

Peace to you, flg, and to lkm.

My you have sweet stoner dreams of pate and lots of petting. *scritches*

4LG, don't be hard on yourself. You are the best centaur a cat could have, and Lion Kitty Maxx knows that and appreciates it. That's why he is so sweet - you make it happen.

thepoliticalcat, being squashed by some decidedly unsweet felines

Well, kitties do enjoy being helpful.

Yes, we've spoiled him rotten. Hell, we've spoiled 'em ALL rotten.

4LG, it may not seem easy to you to be spoiling him, but he appreciates it all the same.

Wowie:
This site has become seriously plusherific while I've been away from teh internets.

So sorry to hear about Maxx. I was definitely in the "hoping for a miracle" camp.

I'm awful glad the new pain patch is helping, even if he has to suffer the indignity of shaved fur.

Birds falling out of the sky, dead, in downtown Austin?

A public official saying "Birds die all the time. Move along. Nothing to see here, folks."

Four Leggs, what's going on in Austin?

I don't know. No one seems to know.

I heard they reopened downtown Austin...be careful out there FLG and all other Plush-fans in that area! Anyone experience NYC's Manhattan gas smell?

Cyber-scratchies to Maxxy.

And a black-n-white submitted for 4legs's approval.

Be well.
