Yes, that's a lavender field. 
Nice doggie!! I was told she was a biter, though she didn't bite me. 
COW!! specifically a longhorn. People mostly keep them as novelties, not for delicious steak. 
And the farm's cat, who looks rather cranky, but was not. He was a little purrrrr-monster.

Good thing they're not trying to get beef from that longhorn -- looks like it needs a little more meat on its bones.
