One of the side effects of the endless rain we've had here is the explosion of odd wild flowers. These are growing in the woods behind my office, poking their little viney selves through the chain link fence.
On cloudy days (most days lately) the red is almost flourescent against the green foliage.

It's a Turk's cap, Malvaviscus arboreus var. drummondii.
