I just can't believe how beautiful Ms. Chainsaw has grown.

And look! Her own tail o'doom!

Maddie is beautiful, too, but Ms. Ripley is more of a surprise.

Ripley did turn out to be pretty, though she has a funny, stocky little body and short little legs.

She isn't elegant, but she has the most beautiful coat imaginable.

No Plum, I don't brush them everyday. I try to comb them every day or so, but neither of them really cares to be brushed.

LOL! Maddie looks startled, like you got her again with that "flashy thingy."

Something for teh Gurlz to invest in while ur at werk?

"According to a Reuters news story, pointed out to me by reader Dennis Courtney, there are at least three cat teahouses in greater Tokyo. One of them, the Cat Cafe Calicos, has 14 calico cats (no Siamese need apply) ready to serve customers who want to cuddle up with a cup of tea and a feline friend.

Here's how it works: For about $7 an hour, or $20 for the popular three-hour package, patrons can enter a large room where 14 calicos slumber and wander. Whether any particular cat cottons to a customer is up to the cat, naturally, but connections are certainly made. The litter boxes are out of sight, and six air fresheners keep the air odor free.

Apparently, in Tokyo, tight housing regulations prevent most people from owning cats. These heartbroken urban dwellers now have a place to seek comfort and love that's a whole lot cheaper than a strip club. Such a genius idea." Jon Carroll, SFGate

Miss Ripley's Tail o' Doom has had a good teacher in Miss Maddie's most excellent Tail.

They are both just breathtaking. Miss Maddie is a , and Miss Ripley is a , pink toesies and all.

We lurve you, beautiful Gurlz! And we agree with Uncle Arthur that you should invest in Cat Cafes for the States. Think of the Pettin's that would ensue! (Plus, your centaur would help run your empire from home and you could all travel together!)

Aaargh! That post did fine in the previews. I should know better.

It should say:

They are both just breathtaking. Miss Maddie is a gorgeous wise owl, and Miss Ripley is a B. Kliban cat come to beautiful life, pink toesies and all.

(And then the rest. The links actually go to the right places. I blame Blogger. But everything I said remains very true.)
