I think she is too. I don't get the peeps who are saying she's "not all that."

Have they got wax in their ears?????

Her voice is 15-20 years younger than she is. It's astounding.

Very torchy! Regardless of her marital status, there's a lot of passion behind that voice. Yay for older women!!!

Now if someone could only explain why people lose their accents when they sing?

People are running her down?

I hadn't heard that. The problem must be wax filling their entire brain cases, not just the ears.

The Los Angeles Times has published 2 pieces now on Susan Boyle, one in the Arts section about her performance, and an opinion piece today, encouraging her not to try to become glamorous. The writer thinks she should just be herself.

It is mind boggling how fast her fame has spread!

Well, yes, 4lgs, it's a reflection of how excellent your taste is and how deserving her talent is.

Although you knew they'd load the dice against her, and that child singer isn't half bad either.

But Susan Boyle is so fine a singer, she doesn't NEED the Simon-Cowell machine to have a career. Maybe a good agent, though...

... a 47 year old scots spinster.Oh, you say that like it's a BAD thing. ;0) Heh.

She is a gifted lady, clearly long deserving of acclaim. There are many many more in this world like her, thank goodness; unfortunately, they are too often limited by others' silly opinions. Which is why I can't watch those so-called "talent" shows; they seem to be little more than a showcase for packaged mediocrity and staged mockery.

In other words, I'd be an avid watcher of Ms. Boyle's variety show. I'd even buy tickets if she'd let guests throw darts at Simon Cowell, or even a photo of him.
