And the mean kitty that lives down the ways isn't bugging him no moah? He is a gorgeous boy. Title this one:Maxx Among His Toys. He'll get down to his homework after he's had a play or two. Poor boy. It's been tough being ill and 'fraid of losing his Centaur.
What is this about glasses? What the hell are you guys talking about?
Political cat, he had surgery on his gums and had some teeth pulled last year. When he came out of surgery he had a bad reaction to the antibiotics and stopped breathing. The blindness was from temporary brain swelling. Scary, but luckily not permanent. He was lucky not to have brain damage either.
Oh, you wonderful centaur! No wonder Maxx loves you! Poor little guy, what he's been through in his short two-plus years! Thank Bast you're there to provide him with a stable home and a good life (and Lion-sized quantities of pate always help)! I feed my guys high-quality kibble with only a very occasional wet food treat. Their doctor thinks that's why they all have excellent teeth and gums. Of course, Maxx is not these pigballs, none of whom have Bartonella. But the one that has FIV has done remarkably well on the kibble diet - he's had no health issues at all in his ten years with us. And the only one that needed her teeth fixed was Faridah Peeples, who was raised on wet food and switched to kibble midway through her life. She lived to be 17, and developed thyroid problems and tooth problems in her 16th year. Not that I'm suggesting you switch His Plushiness to kibble, which he might not even like due to the teef'n gum issues.
Ah! Poor kitty-boy. His poor li'l gums must be quite sensitive if he won't crunch tasty kibbles. I send him cases of virtual pate. Not as filling as the physical stuff, but it's the thought that counts.
He won't eat dry food, mostly because of his gum problems.
I wonder if that's because the bartonella never really went away so he's had a low level gum infection all this time. Mebbe if you've really killed it this time, his gums will heal enough he can enjoy all sources of nutrutious nummies....
You know, having just made an extensive tour of the Plushy archives, it occurs to me that Maxx looks healthier now than he's done over the past year. I think he's been unwell for a long time, and that infection followed by the treatment may have finally healed him. And that's why he's kibbling again. Nose rubs, Maxxie my love, I'll see you in the morning. 4LG, you were right. Once in Plushy's thrall, one is enthralled forever.

If only he could get that wormhole stable we could all move somewhere's with nobody named Bush.....
What flory said……to a place with lots of cats, dogs, horses (and centaurs) goldfish and all other furred, finned and scaley critters.
Not so many people, tho. And No republicans, except my sister and brother-in-law.
It's Friday night, 4LG. Give Maxx the night off from homework. He deserves to play on weekends, just like his less furry friends.
How's Mr. Plushy feeling these days?
Mr. Plushy is feeling much better, thanks for asking. I was just outside with him and he's prowling with a lot of energy.
He's also eating quite a bit.

Solving the secrets of the universe requires massive amounts of energy.
Or he's a pig...whatevah.......
He wears glasses?
No he doesn't. His eyes are just fine, in spite of having gone blind last year after surgery.
What was the surgery for? And did he really go blind temporarily? Did they figure out why? Poor Maxx. Ear rubs, baby boy.
Oooooh, Maxx wears glasses!
Those are just disguise. Dealing with the fan club can be exhausting.
How did Maxx levitate that pink, winged blob hovering over his left shoulder?
That must mean he's making real advances with the particle accelerater. Wormhole control is in our future!

Of course, as soon as I said he won't eat dry food, he started eating dry food again.
