Is Mr. Plushy still on meds??? So it ain't over! Is he good about his meds? Poor kid. Bartonella is transmitted through fleas, and I guess when he was a starving streetwalker, he picked up plenty. A thousand million curses on the brutes who dumped him to fend for himself. May their teeth rot and fall out and may they have to gum their food for the rest of their rotten lives. May their feet smell so bad, they lose their jobs. May their armpit hairs become knotted and twisted and may they have to shave them, and may they cut themselves shaving, and then sweat into the cut. May their medical caregivers laugh themselves hysterical when trying to provide them services.

The treatment for bartonella is 4 weeks long. And since his case is pretty bad, we're going to try it for a minimum of 6 weeks and possibly as long as 8.
