Sweetly beautiful face, framed by a ruff and fichu. She's a beauty!
No chocolate egss today. Shared the day with brother (local), sister (in from Hawaii) and mother (local). Ham and sweet potatoes and tomato aspic, followed by blueberry pie and ice cream. Great to have my sister in town, even if just for the weekend, passing through on a business trip to Chicago.
Hope you all had a lovely day with friends and/or family.
I hope you don't mind an off-topic comment, but I think this is important: There is a great post on The Carpetbagger Report from a few days ago about the mainstream media's (specifically Time magazine's) ignoring the prosecutor purge scandal.
What explains the failure of the mainstream media to cover the purge scandal for so long, and so many other scandals? Do you think somebody just set up newspaper editors to cheat on their wives, and threatened to tell if the editors wouldn’t play ball when they come back some day and ask for something?
It wouldn’t be that hard to do, when you think about it. People wouldn’t talk about it.

Besides her elegant ear tufts, Maddie is developing an almost Elizabethan ruff, framing her face.
How big will the ruff get? With the ruff, her white fichu and white eye liner, she'll be the best dressed girl (feline variety) in Austin.
Peeps are for eating? Who knew? I thought they were purely decorative, or for blowing up in the microwave.
I'm eating a little chocolate hen made by monks! It's superb.
Miss Madeleine is looking awful growed up in that picture.
