Oh do Ur kittehs wait until you get home and then poop? Mine wait until I am about to sit down for dinner (in the kitchen by myself and the pans are in the laundry room just off the kitchen). What do they do when I am away for three weeks?

Yes they do. I feed them when I get home which must make them want to poop.

It's really annoying. But funny.

They are like the old Play-doh machines. It goes in the top and gets pressed out the bottom.

My dainty girls usually poop as soon as I clean out the litter boxes. I've been cleaning them out twice a day since Maxxine usually likes to kick out "stuff" from them. ;)

WOWO is an admirably well-trained kittenslave

It's a rule of kitteh behavior that we must leave a trace of our family scent in a freshly cleaned litter box. Interesting that a human noticed this.

Silkey, appreciative cat

Like WOWO's, mine LUV to wait until I'm still in the process of scooping to jump in and lay down a line. And Spanky goes nuts when I'm scraping up the clay that's been thrown out. He runs up and rolls on the floor where I'm collecting it.

Cats are weird.

(Not related to my screen name, however)

HarryCat dances with joy when I arrive home, purring and singing and telling me all about his day.

And then he stops abruptly, looks alarmed, and flies back to his litterbox to begin the Kung Fu Pooping(TM). (He kicks litter everywhere; thank goodness for a big, tall covered box.)

I think it has something to do with the "I've been sleeping all day and just got up when I heard your car and I'm glad to see you and OMG I was sleeping all day and forgot to go!" syndrome. I hope.
