Send good juju now, please
Mr. Plushy isn't feeling so brave today. And neither am I, for that matter. I'm worried sick that his tests are going to come back showing that he has a malignancy.
Any positive spells, prayers or other alternate dimension interventions would be appreciated.

Holy Hell buddy, what did he get tests for. I thought it was just a regular trip to the vet. Hope it goes well.
Don't let your nerves run away with you, FLG. Been there, done that. Without knowing details, I still know that there are a ton of non-malignant outcomes of kitty tests. This will be one of them.
He has some sort of mass in his mouth- it may just be an abcess, or it may be a tumor.
They did a needle aspiration to do pathology to see if it's a tumor or not and they did blood work to see how his liver, etc. are functioning, since he had trouble with anethesia before.
Also bloodwork to determine whether he's still positive for bartonella.
It's possible the bartonella never cleared and this is all symptoms of that infection.
I send every iota of good juju I and mine possess to you and Mr. Plushy. In the meantime, be of good cheer. Mr. Plushy needs you to be calm and loving. It's much more likely to be an abscess. Malignancies are commoner among the old than the young. And of all my many beasts, only one ever had any malignancy and that was at the ripe old age of 13 (or 91, in Cat Years). I will keep checking in.
And such a handsome baby, too. I do wish you'd tell how you two came together. Perhaps I'll send you an email request? Kisses on Maxx' velvety nose. It looks very velvety in this and the previous pic.

Poopyman has spoken.

Thanks poopyman.
I've already lost one cat to cancer, to lose another would be too cruel.

May Maxx recover fully from what is hopefully only an abscess. I send a million billion waves of good juju.

That's what I'm thinking- he's only two. Still just a baby.
