Maxx's Comet

I'm really disappointed that the cloudy weather in central Texas has prevented me from seeing Maxx's comet the past two weeks. Luckily the weather has been better in other latitudes.

This gorgeous picture comes from Spaceweather.com. The photographer, Jamie Newman, shot this at twightlight over Auckland, New Zealand. Look at that plushy tail!!

Hat tip to smalfish.

Yay Maxxie!!! The boy sure has good taste, waving that plush tail around like that. Even his ride is cute.

Even if you didn't know that was our Maxxie's own comet, you'd know that was a plushy comet....

Happy trails to you, Plushy-boy!

Comet Maxx evidently is often seen better over New Zealand.

Maybe Maxx is checking the islands out for his next rebirth. If he becomes a Kiwi he may be able to be in Peter Jackson's next film … whatever it is.

Or, Maxx could pose for/inspire Jackson's CGI people.

I'd recognize that tail anywhere....

Dearheart Maxx is riding the milky way...thank you on Mias behalf for putting up her badge...i know you wonder why i care about this little fluff, but 5 years ago i gave a westie to a doctor friend of mine who had a brain injury in hopes it would help him recover somewhat...she drown in his swimmingpool..and i swore that day...if ever possible i would help the critters first...then the humans ...anyway thanks ..since then i have saved many and i hope Alex will soon be your little ward!

I will never stop missing Maxx, but it's wonderful to see his tail flaring through the sky. Wish I could see it here, but that, apparently, is not to be. That's OK, I'm wavin' at the boy. Hey, Maxxie! Love you, baby!
