Believe it or not, maine coon kitties are hugely popular all over the world.

I found this little guy on the website of a German breeder.

Is it legal in Germany to be that cute?

Is it legal anywhere in the world to be that cute? Bandicoot is a Maine Coon. He's not as plush as LKM because we have to keep trimming all the little dead baby slugs out of his fur. Disgusting child. Very sweet, but poor personal hygiene.

Its the socialized medicine. Kitties are smart.

He looks electrified!

I wonder what Lion Kitty Maxx looked like as a kitten. Do they maintain their coloring as they grow up? I had a Siamese who was all white as a kittenh, but grew up to have pronounced dark markings.

Sandy, all Siamese kittens start out cream-colored and the "points" - the dark bits - gradually come in. Other kittehs keep the coloring they were born with, although, when they get old, their coats fade a little.

Of course, Bandicoot has gone from black-and-white to a sort of muddy beige-and-white, but poor personal hygiene is to blame. Whenever we bathe him, he regains his pristine white bits, briefly.
