She's a doll! Does she insist on sleeping with you, 4Legs?

When I brought my Siamese home, he was only about 10 weeks old. I brought him from Hawaii to Los Angeles.

I had never had a cat and didn't know what to expect -- the first night he absolutely refused to sleep on the blanket I had put out for him on the floor and cried until I brought him up on the bed. He curled up next to my chin and I told him, "it's your fault if I squish you!" (he survived and so did I for almost 18 more years).

And you were a goner from that moment on....

Oh, Flory, how true that was! I didn't have children, yet in a sense I did, because he felt like "my baby." Either he rode around on my shoulder or sat on my lap or next to me -- always wanted to be with me. I felt so blessed.

Actually, I insist she sleep with me.

My kitty Karmina gets angry and starts staring at me and meowing if I'm not in bed by 10 pm or so. Sometimes she'll just go to bed herself (plops herself plum in the middle), so I have to find a tiny space on the edge if I stay up later than *she* wants.

At some point, this kitten will realize that this round, shiny, whirring thing is not a permanent fixture in front of her.
