"I'm kind of sleepy. I'll play with you tomorrow."
"Awwww, no one wants to play with me."
Poor Maddie, she's feeling a little sore tonight. What a difference in care though. Maddie came home with interior, dissolving stitches, an adhesive patch and 3 days of bupronex. The good news for her is that she's done for the year, her appetite is fine and I'm sure she'll bounce right back.
In contrast, the shelter sent poor little Ripley home with 2 ugly staples in her tummy and no painkillers. Hasn't seemed to slow her down any. She's currently killing the lavender peep.
New pics tomorrow, I'm extremely tired tonight.

Thanks for the update, we just wanted to know how Maddie was doing.
Try to take as good care of yourself as you do the kittenz.
Unpossible!!
Thanx FLG for the update. Take good cae of yourself. The kiddies will follow....Good light
Sorry to hear about the contrast in treatment for poor Ripley, but so glad she's bounced back.
Looking forward to seeing the two playing together again.
Never a dull moment in your household, that's for sure!
Take care, 4Legs.
Wow, when I picked up Amelie from the Shelter after her surgery, they also sent a little vial of a liquid antibiotic to dose her with. I didn't realize not all shelters do that.
Everytime she is flipped on her back, I see her tatt that shows she is not a breeder, it cracks me up - baby's got ink, too! :) After having spent 3 years volunteering at the Houston SPCA, and hearing the vets bemoan an unnecessary spay surgery that could have been avoided had the animal had an obvious scar or whatnot, the tatts are really a good idea and help save the resources for the monchkins that need it. :)
Blessings and quick/solid healing to the two spay-tacular kittehs! :)

WAKEY WAKEY! IT'S MORNING PLAYTIME!
Happy to hear Ms Maddie's doing about as good as she can. Now back to killing all that ribbon!
Elspeth, that's an interesting perspective on spay surgery. It sounds like leaving an obvious scar is actually a feature, not a bug. :^)
(Apologies from the software geek.)
I think its very cute that your two furballs like completely different toyz.
Glad Maddie's doing well.
