Spring flora

The first cannas of the season.

We haz many lizards in our neighborhood. This one lives in my neighbor's garden.

This, believe it or not, is the flower that blooms from a large aloe vera type plant my neighbor planted.

I don't know what the heck this is. It grows on long stalks that come from a grass like clump of plant.

I don't know what this is either- the bloom looks similar to a mimosa bloom, but this was on a bush. So maybe some type of mimosa bush? what ever it was, the bees were swarming on it.

The bottle-brushy looking plant is a...wait for it...bottle brush plant.

The one above the Bottle Brush is a Penstemon.

Four Legs Good, Ma'am, if U'd catch one of those little lizards and bring it to the gurlz … Oh they'd have fun!

Lizards are a greater challenge to catch than mousies. A stimulating, worthy foe. Once caught, some parts are meaty and yummy, but not as good as mousie eating.

Remember to seal off the bottom of ur frig with masking tape to prevent the lizards from hiding there.

Silkey, mighty hunter

Aloe vera has pretty blooms! Who knew? Maybe if I treat mine better it'll bloom for me.

It has made babies, but never bloomed. Maybe a bigger pot would be good.

Canna lilies are a knockout.

Yes he did.

I like the lizards- they eat bugs.
