Yes. I wish there was something that could help it hurt a little less. He's beautiful. His soul shines through.

This might be a little out there for some folks and I don't know you at all, but if you're ever interested in trying to reach Maxx via an animal communicator, try Mary Getten (www.marygetten.com or http://www.rockisland.com/~mg/). She's up here in the PNW but geography isn't an issue. Working with her put my heart at rest when I lost my beloved Cindie.

Take care.

Losing your Maxx and my human friend Liza and now Molly - I had to sit down and list for myself all my departed feline fur-babies. Came up with 22 (and 2 dogs) - since I was about 12 years old. There were others in the family, but those 22 were mine. And I miss every single one of them. Every one a distinct personality, every one would be welcomed back in a heartbeat. My kitties all stay indoors now, so I won't be losing any to cars or critters, but even that is no guarantee against sudden or slow death. It's wonderful to keep seeing pictures of LKM. I'm not inclined toward photography, and sometimes I'm sorry not to have more pictures. Glad you have 'em, Mr. Centaur. Really looking forward to watching young Whatsername grow up, and more.

There's our sweet Lion Kitty.

When I heard abt Molly Ivins' death, I too wondered if she'd join Maxx on his Great Ride. I'll bet he'd be a gentleman and let Molly drive.

LKM aka Toonces the Comet-Driving Cat?

I nominate Toonces as the new little one's name.

I, too, loved Maxx. I grieve for your loss of such a sweet kittie. Makes me reach out and scritch my own indoor critters. Even the one who doesn't give a shit, sleeping on top of the laptop. He's still a precious babydoll.

Your captured him so beautifully, 4Legs. He reminds me a little of E.T. Have the look of old souls in their eyes.

We all miss him, FLG, though none as badly as you do.

Here at PoopyManor, Nicky just returned from a rough day at the vets getting his teeth cleaned, except for the one canine* they pulled. It had abcessed into his gum. Another cat with a sore mouth. But he's doing much better now that he's back home.

*Do they really call cat teeth canines? How insulting!

Sweet Maxx. Of course you miss him. He was a wonderful furfriend. I always think he looked at you with a lot of love in his sweet little face.
