Memorial Maxx Blogging

I went strolling through my photo albums to look at Maxx pictures, and they made me so sad. I got so accustomed to seeing him that I got completely used to seeing his tumor. With the distance of a couple months, the evidence of his illness really jumps out at me. Poor little buddy. He was so brave.

I pulled a photo from a few months back, before his mouf got so bad. As always, he is missed everyday.

Thank you, 4LG. Never fails to tug at my heartstrings, how much you and your camera loved him, and how much he loved you back. Brave, loving, sweet, gentle, funny, silly, the ineffable essence of cathood. Thanks for the photo.

He was easy to love. So gentle, sweet and funny. I was lucky to have him in my life.

I'm glad you post a memorial photo of your dear Maxx every Friday. I look for them every week. It's good to honor his memory this way. I'm struck by how much Maddie sometimes looks like Maxx. When I first saw your 3/14 "Late afternoon Madeleine" photo, I was scrolling through kinda quickly and I could have sworn it was Maxx instead. They're both beautiful animals. I'm glad Maddie is there with you now. She will cast her own spell on your life, just as Maxx cast his---and no kitty will ever take his place or hers.

Had to come back and look again. Yes, he is the dear love of remembered lizard-tail snackies. I'm glad you have Maddie to ease the pain, but just like TBogg's Cooder, Darling Maxx is gone, but never forgotten.
