Although it's not much of a compliment, lkm communicates better than the current president of the united states.
On the topic of communication --When is NBC going to let Olympic events create the stories rather than force-feed the audience its predetermined melodramatic narratives? These broadcasts are a microcosm of all that's wrong with our media -- Jim Lampley's NBC blogad at HuffPost notwithstanding.
And when is Shani Davis going to get his 3.35 minute interview with Bob Costas in primetime?
I'd still like NBC to at least explain the silence rather than whet up the "controversy" through dueling clips of him & Hedrick looking ever-more dour.
I think it's a shame that his teammates are being such shits.
If you ask me, he's the one being the obnoxious little shit. Did you see his post skate interview on Saturday? He'd just won a gold medal and he was acting like a sulky 5 year old.
But who cares? As long as there is plushy all is right with the world. Especially regal, stripey plushy like our own Maxx.
I get what you're saying about Davis' attitude, Flory -- but the media treatment is insane.
Compare and contrast:
Bode Miller's obnoxiousness = mega-endorsements and slavering from the sports-pundits as they bend over asking for another while he slides down the slopes on one ski
vs.
Shani Davis' obnoxiousness = NBC coverage that not so sublty hints he's an asshole, from what I've seen.
The narratives are set: Bode Miller - cool dude; Shani Davis -angry black man.
They may both be arrogant jerks.
It's the slim yet set-in-concrete nature of NBC's narratives that irritates me.
(I also agree w/you about the need for continued plush.)

Maxx sure has a beautiful coat. He does have an irritated look on his face. He's still a beautiful boy!
I don't know that I've ever seen a full profile. What lovely stripes
That's our lion kitty, all stripey and plushy.
Thanks for the plushiness!

He may not be granting interviews until after the 1500 on tuesday.
True, that.

I agree with you.

That MouseMouth does have the nicest set of stripes outside of a tricked out '67 Mustang.
hee hee
Yes he does.

I agree the whole Bode Miller thing is revolting. He's clearly this season's overhyped failure...
But I haven't seen him be actually flat out rude in any interviews, unlike Shani Davis.
Miller at least is smart enough not to piss off the people who make up the conventional wisdom. Shani needs to learn how to do that.
