Lunar Eclipse



Sigh. We didn't get to see it here- clouds came up in the east right at sundown, obscuring the moonrise. This gorgeous photo was taken by Jorgen Blom over Stockholm, Sweden.

It was clear here but the moon was already out of the umbra by moonrise. A friend of mine took some pictures at moonrise and you can just bearly see the shading of the penumbra on one side of the moon. I understand that another eclipse is coming in August.
