I think it's the solemn expression on her funny little face. What you guys can't see is the way she watches me, so seriously, whenever I'm home. Yes, it's probably a trick of her markings and the shape of her face, but *you* try to resist her.

I'm glad the humans understand u r "so compelling." Isn't it just like them to ask "why"?

All us Cats are compelling. It is a Natural Law.
Some, like Ms. Ripley and Ms. Madeleine, are more obvious about it.
Or maybe they just have a better photographer.

She is compelling. She probably gives you the love-look because you saved her from a horrible death, and she knows it. What a sweet, pretty bird she is! What's with all that Ripley tongue lately, though? Kiss her cute pink nose for me plees. I bleev she has mai stapler.
Who in the world would want to resist Ripley? Why would we want to miss the fun of appreciating her and Maddie?
Not me. I want all the kitteh goodness I can get from the Intertubes. Not to dis my own two fur bearing brats, who give me a reasonable amount of purrs and snuggles.
What makes Ripley compelling (besides her charm), is her white "eyeliner". Those lines of white fur make her eyes unusually expressive.
Same goes for Maddie's white and beige "eyeliner". Maddie may act goofy, as you say. but she doesn't look goofy.
Ripley looks as if she'll grow up to be a feline Charlie Chan.
Ripley has swallowed up my heart. Completely.
And Little Silky Cat Ross is becoming a romantic poet for kiddenz everywhere.
I can attest to the truthfulness of these statements.
She does that little haid tilt thing and you're a guaranteed goner.
Maddie just looks on in wonder.

Miss Maddie is the Queen. It's her job to look on, regally, secure in her role as the gracious firstborn.
Miss Ripley is the Princess. It's her job to be a queen-in-training, but she also has to bring Teh Cute as the younger sibling.
