Nubs. A happy ending.

AP/Major Brian Dennis

Dog Saved by Marine gets Permanent Home.

The only thing you can say to a story like this is "YAY!!!"

We forget somethings that some of the worst suffering in a war zone is borne by animals, who have no choice in the matter.

Major Dennis is coming home in March. I hope he stays safe until then and that he and Nubs have a long and happy life together.

I'm tickled pink about these 'dogs of Iraq' stories.
I wish we'd been able to do this decades ago in Nam...God there were some great dogs there!
Rags was a great little mutt in our supply room but...rabies control was always a problem...let's just say I think of him more often then ya'd imagine.

This guy needs to go home too. JohnJS tells me that he stopped by one morning and that he is a VERY VERY GOOD BOY. Any gud Georgia peach couldn't do better than this.
