After Christmas lion kitty

He's getting ready for New Years. I hope you all are off work and enjoying yourselves.

Will the Lion Kitty have champagne with his catnip on New Year's Eve?

Hope he's still eating well and feeling better.

No, we are not off work, but really happy to see Our Boy Maxx looking all relaxed and loved and happy. He looks good. Hope he's feeling good.

4-legs. Do you have to wait until after the New Year to find out if Maxx is a candidate for the new procedure? The wait must be killing you. Hope he's feeling ok today.

Lots of pets for the Maxxer. Good thoughts, thoughts of miracles.

Hey, pate breath!

Hang in there. Do what's right and remember to ask the centaur with the thumbs before you try opening the cans. Makes 'em feel useful.

The first appointment is next Thursday. He looks awful today. He's not eating either.

I'm sure you've already tried this, but there's a milk product made for cats which comes in a little cardboard container, forgot what it's called. The cats seem to love it. Well, anyway, I'm sorry Maxx isn't eating today. I hope this will pass; sometimes even healthy cats just skip a day for no discernable reason. sigh, my thoughts are with you.

And something else you probably know, but don't force feed him by inserting a syringe in his mouth with liquid, unless the doctor expressly directs you to do this. It causes them agony to process food if the organs cannot handle it.

I'm officially upset. I'm so sorry. (but I'm not giving up hope because Maxx has had bad days before and bounced back).

It would be great if you could get a kitty appetite enhancer. Like the ones they give to human cancer patients.

Another food you might try is baby food. Regular Gerber's strained meat *without* vegetables. The most popular seems to be chicken or turkey. It seems to have an appetizing smell, and doesn't require chewing. Also, and I'm sure you know this already, but sometimes if you put a dab on the end of your finger and encourage him to lick it off, once he get started he realizes he is hungry and will continue on his own.

Here's hoping jftb is right, and it is just "one of those days" for Maxx, and his appetite is back to normal tomorrow. Thinking of you both...

His organs are fine, it's just his mouf that hurts.

That kitty looks pretty stoned. I've still got all my fingers and toes crossed.
