My two beautiful Abbies, Brandy and Tasha, litter sisters, both died of cancers, about two years apart.
I had some very tough times with Brandy, some nights especially, when she seemed to be in some sort of real agony. She had trouble with her bowel movements, and I thought that was the time I should put her down.
Amazingly, and I can't even recall what it was that helped, but some meds the vet gave her allowed her to get through those bad patches, to live for another full summer season.
My vet told me she would let me know somehow when it was time. And, amazingly, she did.
I feel weepy just writing about her--I still miss that little kitty so, so much. jawbone
It's so hard to let them go, but you have to do what's right for them. Maxx's vet and oncologist have got him on a drug that reduces the inflamation and he's got pain meds as well.
So far he's still eating well and enjoying kitty activities. And that's the best we can hope for.

A happy plushy is a very good thing. *scritches*

He was hurting a bit this morning, probably from excess playage. I gave him some medicine, so he should be feeling better.
Hugs and scritches to your little stoner.
Thank you for keeping us posted on his progress.
Glad to hear life is good for our little Lion Kitty with catnip toys and appropriate drugs (and hugs) to help him.

Yay, Maxxie, boy! You fight it, all the way, buddy.

And how's our little stoner today? Feeling better?
He's doing fine. He likes the chilly weather we've been having.
